I'm writing a new cozy fantasy series: The Archmage Is Baking Now!

Hi, all!Today, I launched a new cozy fantasy series: My wife frequently asks me why I’m writing a particular series at a given time. The answer always changes, regardless of what I’m working on. To sort of give you an idea of the chaos, here’s a short list:

1. happened because I was seeing if I could write fiction and learning how.

2. was an effort to make fun of a redheaded friend, to put what I had learned from Deadworld to use again, and to try to get a little better at class-building writing.

3. was because I was stressed and wanted to see if I could write something without a lot of murder in it.

And so on. This next project might seem a lot like in that it’s very nice and calm, and in the sense where nobody is ever in very much danger of injury. That’s true, as it was with DWBS, of both physical and emotional injuries. Everyone is .

But more to the point, don’t worry: I’m not super stressed or in emotional turmoil. It just turns out I like nice things, and wanted some more of them.

In other ways, this is a test. You’ll realize pretty quickly that this series has magic and baking, just as promised, but that what you get comes to you in more organic, traditional ways than is typical for a litRPG site like NovelFire. That might take a few pages of getting used to, but I think it’s the right way to write the story this time, and that you’ll enjoy it overall.
