Chapter 1413: Making of ice cream

Yu Dong did not want her products to reach the capital. She only wanted to live a peaceful life in the village, away from the troubles of the royal family.

She couldn’t sell her strawberries as there was a chance that they could be preserved and sent to the Imperial Palace. However, she couldn’t waste her hard work which was why she came up with the idea of selling ice cream.

"Ice cream?" Shen Li looked at Yu Dong with a frown on his face. "Are you going to sell ice with strawberry jam?" He had never heard about such a peculiar thing before in his life.

However, he did know what ice was and he presumed that cream was most likely strawberry jam.

Yu Dong heard his words and couldn’t help but laugh. She shook her head and said to him, "Of course not! How can I sell strawberry jam with ice?" That would be a disaster!

"Then what is this thing?" Ye Liu asked. He was now in charge of taking care of discounts, and sales as well as the little schemes and lotteries that were running in the mall at the moment.

He needed to carefully devise a plan before launching this product.

"It’s hard to explain, you will know when I make it," Yu Dong knew the gist of how to make ice cream, however, she had no idea how to explain it.

When Ye Liu heard her response he was simply speechless. This woman had always been like this! She would speak first and deal with things later.

Shouldn’t she have already made the ice cream before proposing the idea?

Yu Dong childishly poked her tongue out before she walked inside the kitchen. She asked Chen Mi to bring a bowl of strawberries.

"Chop them into small pieces," said Yu Dong as she picked up a large bowl sitting on the side of the kitchen aisle. She then poured sugar, honey and lemon juice into the bowl one by one.

The villager paused and looked at Yu Sa. She knew that this was Yu Dong’s relatives, as she had seen Yu Sa going in and out of the house that belonged to Yu Dong.

"Little second? Are you talking about Yu Linyun?" The villager asked with a polite voice.

"That’s right, I am talking about her. Can you tell me where she lives?" Yu Sa smiled at the villager as if she was a very cordial woman.

"She lives there," the villager pointed at the house which was neither big nor small. Currently, it was bustling with activities, the villager thought that Yu Sa was going to Yu Linyun’s house because she was invited to the banquet and could not help but remark,

"Linyun is too much. Even if she is angry with Madam Dong, there is no such thing as eternal rivalry, she could have at least extended her invitation to Madam Dong," the villager sighed.

Yu Linyun was being too much for inviting her, who was a relative who just come to the village a few days ago but ignored Yu Dong who lived just a few houses away.

However, she still had a sense of propriety and did not say such words in front of Yu Sa.

But Yu Sa still understood the underlying meaning of the woman. Her lips twitched and she wished she could tell the woman that she too was not invited by Yu Linyun!
