"I did..didn't mean that——" Gu Zedong didn't want to harm Gu Ke Jin, she just thought that since Gu Ke Jin was better than Gu Mu, she would be fine and nothing else.

"You didn't mean what?" Lin Jing cut her off as he raised a brow. "Your lover and his daughter planned to kidnap Yu Dong's husband and maybe they even succeeded. From the looks of it, they must have done something really terrible to her husbands which caused Miss Yu to lose her temper, as she is not an unreasonable woman."

All her life Gu Zedong was willing to be fooled but now even if she wanted to fool herself, she couldn't do it because the truth was that there was something wrong with Gu Mu.

Kong Tai stayed quiet as he hid behind Gu Zedong, he knew that his wife wouldn't hurt him as she couldn't bear to do so. However, under the gaze of the people in the courtyard, he stuttered, "Not...Nothing much. I don't know."
